7-Year-Old Needs Our Help

“SWAB FOR BRYAN”Bryan

COALINGA HURON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT – Bryan is a lively seven-year-old student at CHUSD. last year he was a student at Bishop, but now would be at Dawson – if he was well enough to attend. Instead, the leukemia which struck the young boy has returned after a short span on triumph, and the child must stay home from school.

Unfortunately, there is no one in his family who is a good enough match for the recommended blood stem cell transplant. The family is asking community members and others to take fifteen minutes of time to attend a special event which will be held on Tuesday, February 18 at Oscar’s Hub (across from Coalinga High School  gym). Students at CHS will be undergoing testing earlier in the day, and the process will be open to all others from 3 PM – 7 PM.  The process is painless. It involves a simple cheek swab.

Donors must be between 18-44 years old, in general good health and willing to donate to any patient.

Text CHUSD to 61474 to join this event. Prior notification is not needed to be tested. Please share this request with anyone you feel may be interested.
